Detroit Lions schedule released
The Detroit Lions 2010 schedule has been released and it does not bode well for a quick start out of the gate.
After having to open on the road at Chicago, things get progressively worse with games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers before hosting the St. Louis Rams.
At least the Lions have a bye in Week 7, which is centered pretty well in the middle of their season and should give them a nice breather.
The second half of the schedule is probably easier than the first half, but there are tough games intermingled with some hapless opponents.
Contests at Dallas and home against New England and the New York Jets are included, as well as more games against tough divisional foes Green Bay and Minnesota.
